Surfs Up on the North Shore: Big Waves Hit Sunset Beach
While visiting the Hawaiian Islands for the holidays, don’t miss the World Famous Surf Contests on the North Shore of Oahu! For half the month of November and on into December Oahu is hosting the Van's Triple Crown of Surfing which includes: the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Ali'i Beach Park in Hale'iwa; the O'Neill World Cup at Sunset Beach; and the Billabong Pipeline Masters at Ehukai Beach (Banzai Pipeline). This event ushers in the best and the bravest of the wave -riding world to display their talent and compete for glory! The Quicksilver Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational also commences during the winter season. This is held at Waimea Bay. And lets not forget, Gigi Women’s Surf Contest will also be held.
